Every great dish tells a story — and mine begins right here in the heart of Miami, Florida, where I was born and raised. Growing up in a family that truly loved seafood, the kitchen was always a place of laughter, flavor, and togetherness. I can still remember those family gatherings where fresh seafood brought everyone to the table — it was more than just food; it was love, culture, and connection.
One special occasion changed everything. I decided to create a seafood dish for my family — something unique that would capture the same love and warmth we always shared. The response was incredible. Watching everyone’s faces light up after that first bite made me realize I had found my passion.
In 2021, right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, that passion turned into purpose — and Byrd’s Nest Seafood was born. What started as a dream during uncertain times became a flavorful escape for our community. Our dishes quickly became a local treasure, loved for their freshness, creativity, and that authentic “home-cooked” Miami flavor.
As word spread and our presence grew on social media, I knew it was time to share Byrd’s Nest Seafood with the world. Today, I’m proud to say that we’ve expanded into eCommerce, making it possible for seafood lovers everywhere to enjoy our signature flavors from the comfort of their own homes. The feedback has been absolutely amazing, and it inspires us to keep pushing forward.
Now, we’re bringing Byrd’s Nest Seafood to new cities! With locations currently in Georgia and Florida, we’re planning exciting pop-up shops and food stops so more people can experience what makes our seafood so special.
